2008 Litter-The Sire and Dam Imported from Japan

Meiyo Buke (Mickey)

Mickey is the finest Pure Breed Imported Male Tosa-Inu
to the United States from Kochi, Japan. His offspring carry forth the quality of his exemplary breeding.

His selective breeding brings new fresh genes
to the Tosa-Inu bloodline.

Our Future litter will be crossbred based on the Mendelian Genetic Law.

First,
we wish to glorify God for the privilege of mating these two high quality pure breed Tosa-Inus imported from Kochi, Japan. It has taken us over twelve years to find the animals with the appropriate characteristics to produce an excellent specimen of the TOSA breed. Based on the Mendelian Genetic Law, we have chosen to crossbreed two exemplary PHENOTYPES with the following external characteristics:

1) Genes with hereditary characteristics of a good docile, calmed and intelligent character.

2) Genes with hereditary characteristics of a large head and reduced snout. Physical description of head: For male (Mickey), the size is 7 inches flat length from ear to ear with a snout of approximately 5 inches in prolongation and about 4 inches in width. For the female (Konatzu), 6 inches of flat length from ear to ear and 3 ½ inches of straight prolongation of the snout and 3 inches in width.

3) Genes with hereditary characteristics of a superior bone structure and a weight of about 150-200 lbs at adult age.

4) Genes with hereditary characters of a wide affluent neck, a necessary characteristic in order to have the strength and to dominate opponents in fights.

5) Genes with hereditary characteristics of an intense red color.

6) Genes with hereditary characteristics to have many wrinkles through the entire body, a necessary characteristic in this race. The loose skin provides protection against permanent injury by protecting vital organs in fights.

7) Genes with the hereditary characteristics to be of extremely short hair.

The genes used for breeding our Tosas have been carefully selected in both the female and the male. The characteristics chosen to produce our exemplary breed are the results of intensive research of books, magazines, and periodical literature.

If you go to Japan to find the best quality of Tosa breed, it would take you five to ten years to find specimens with the characters our breed, like in Mickey and Konatzu, have.

Please note, Mickey and Konatzu are direct imports from Japan and have JKC (Japanese Kennel Club) and FCI (International Cinological Federation) registration. Sadly, some Tosa breeders and sellers have never seen the original Tosa registration or pedigree from Japan.
